I can understand that and I, myself was leery when we flew to Oregon and back. I was checking out every passenger on the plane. But then I think about my friend, Tanwir in Boise. He's from India. His parents are very wealthty and sent him and his brother to the states to get a college education. I worked with him and we became really good friends. After 9/11, he got so much shit from people just because of the way that he looked, that he took a leave of abscense from his accountant job at Morrison Knudsen and went back to India for a while. He's back now but I still felt so bad for him!!

I feel bad for those peeps like CB was talkin' about.....I know some REALLY nice "middle Easter", or at least that's what they look like, people, and I'm sure they catch a lotta flack 'cause of their looks - which they can't help. But HELL - surely they understand we're just a bit paranoid since 9/11. Hate to see innocent people treated badly, but look how many innocent people died at the hands of people who look like that! [img]frown.gif[/img] Can't think of any good way to solve that problem......'cept maybe what Arkon said - nuke the ones that are still over there, then we only have to worry about the ones that've already gotten over here - the bad ones. He understood. He was upset by it himself. It's just the way he was getting looked at the way he was getting treated, the things people were saying to him, he was actually scared someone would try to harm him so he decided it was best to get the hell outta dodge for a while. He's now back in Boise, back at Morrison Knudsen doing his little accountant thing (lol). He loves it here and doesn't plan on going back to India.
I love him to pieces. He's a total sweetheart. He was one of the first friends I made when I first moved to Boise and we used to go out and party and have a great time.
Now that he's back, he's popped the question to his honey and they are planning a wedding. [img]smile.gif[/img]
His parents aren't very thrilled at all because of custom. I guess he's supposed to marry someone from there or something but it's like he told me..."you don't find love...love finds you and you can't help who you fall in love with."

Ohhhhhhh CB....I wasn't referrin' to your friend when I made that comment. I didn't realize that sounded kinda tacky 'til I read it again...LOL! And I know the fact that he understood didn't make it any easier to take! Don't blame him one bit for gettin' outa here for a while - was probably a good move on his part or someone who blamed ALL those folks mighta taken a pot shot at him. Just wish we could round all those folks up that are fanatics and hell-bent on terrorizing the world and do a "selective nuke" on 'em..... grrrrrrrr!!!!!!! But I know what ya mean, like I said, I've known some super nice peeps from that part of the world, and I'd hate to see them treated badly just 'cause of their heritage too. When I do see that, it pisses me off royally!

Why have kids if you don't want them and are gonna abuse them?!! That makes me sick to my stomach!!
I can't tell you how many times I have spatted mine on their hiney and then went into another room and cried because it REALLY does hurt you worse that it hurts them. If giving them just a spat on the behind hurt me that much, then how can someone just beat their child and feel no remorse?!! Obviously the sick assholes have no heart!! Children are TRULY God's greatest gifts and I can't see how anyone with even half a heart could hurt something so precious!!
